Reintroduction question

So today is Day 30 for me!! I'm starting reintroduction tomorrow (Wednesday), but I have a dilemma. On Thursday evening I have a fancy birthday party to attend with a fixed menu. I'm trying to find out the ingredients beforehand, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to. Should I just start reintroduction tomorrow, and then on Friday after the party push the next phase of reintroduction up a couple days in case there's any non compliant ingredients at the party that might tamper with reintroduction?

I hope that makes sense! :) Appreciate any thoughts!

Unfortunately eating a mix of "non-compliant" foods is going to mess up your reintroduction. My suggestion would be to eat at the party as close to Whole30 as you can to mitigate any unfortunate reactions you might have. Then do Whole30 again for several days until you are feeling as good as you are on Day 30.  Then do reintroductions. Because basically if you go to this dinner and have wine, gluten, sugar, dairy and possibly soy/corn oils in the dressing/cooking fats, you're not going to have a clue what it was if you're bothered by anything. And you are not giving yourself a clean canvas to do your reintroductions against.

So I should hold off starting reintroduction at all until after the party, if I can't verify that everything will be compliant? Or would it be ok to start reintro tomorrow but then give it a few days after the party before continuing? Thanks so much!!

Hi @ElibethI would not personally reintro anything that close to the party. The idea is to test an item and then go two or three compliant days in between so that you can assess your short and longterm reaction. If you tested, say, dairy, today and then went to the party tomorrow night and ate all sorts of mystery things and got a stomach ache, your dairy test is rendered inconclusive because you simply wouldn't know what upset you. 

Also, some of the "results" from reintroductions can be really subtle such as mood, energy, emotion etc. Best to have a completely blank slate.
