FranE
I'm going away for a couple of nights. The hotel has no room fridges. Will bring cooler and have perishable meals for first day. Looking for ideas. Don't want to be relying on fruit and nuts (I love them too much)
Karen_Suep
You can always take olives and coconut and whole avocados for fats. Some veggies don't need refrigeration or you can use compliant canned veggies. Canned fish and chicken would also be fairly easy to use too. Karen_Suep
Also don't forget oils are great too.
Robin R.
Epic bars. An assortment of cherry tomatoes, cukes, bell peppers should keep well into that second day. Take along an olive oil, balsamic vinaigrette.
laura_juggles
Especially indoors where it's climate controlled, you should be able to get several days of cold in a properly packed cooler. I've been camping every weekend from Friday-Sunday night and my food's stayed cold the whole time with the cooler outdoors, in the sun for several hours a day. Blocks of ice stay frozen longer than cubes.
Robertaworley
If there's an ice bucket and ice, use them. If there's a tub with a separate shower, fill the tub bottom with ice and use that in lieu of a fridge.
