Went to camp this weekend and ate as best I could with a kitchen at one end of the camp and the dining hall about 1 15 minute walk away.  I existed on some chicken soup, chicken meatballs, HB eggs, and carrots with almond butter that I brought and lots of salad at the salad bar with lime-tahini dressing from home.  I managed to make it through with no real trouble despite all the food passing my plate at meals.  But it was hard and required a lot of waiting to eat after the dining hall meals before I could get to the chicken to get the food I brought from home.  The first night I had indigestion and burping in the middle of the night and was missing my papaya and ginger which was in the car far away from the sleeping hall.  But after that I did a lot of eliminating and feel totally hollowed out now, no stomach ache and definitely small than before the weekend.  I remember this being a pattern from the last Whole 30 that it took a couple weeks of feeling bloated and then getting rid of all of it and ending up skinnier and full of energy.

Still stiff and sore from wood chopping.  Went to the city today for DH doctor appt and then looked at new cars.  The cars we need for trailer towing were SO expensive, even with the little bonus I will get in January.  Decided to hang on the the present car as long as possible even if it needs expensive repairs, nothing compared to the new car payments.  Very wiped out from the car shopping and then had terrible bout of stomach cramps and IBS in the morning starting just as I woke up.  Almost felt like I was going to throw up for a little while. I don't know what caused it, the stress or food I ate at a restaurant.

Meals yesterday:

Breakfast: fruit, flax, coconut milk, almond butter, 2 HB eggs, green tea and coffee with coconut cream

Lunch: ( at a restaurant) lots of stir fried veggies in olive oil, zukes, peppers, mushrooms, lots of onions and a piece of roasted chicken breast in olive oil and s and p. (chicken was kind of old and tough so I didn't eat much), a little bit of home roasted potato, grapes

Dinner:  potato and sweet potato, broccoli, and 2 HB eggs mixed up and heated with a little coco aminos and lime-tahini dressing, handful of almonds (roasted) and kombucha

I suppose there could have been something wrong with the chicken or it could be the handful of roasted almonds, I usually eat raw one. Everything else I have eaten repeatedly without stomach pain.  Although I have had some burning and have been taking ginger and payaya to cool it off.  My protein level was a little low but I don't know if that would cause stomach cramps.

I think I am going to start over. I didn't do anything wrong except maybe eat too little in the morning and eat too much fruit but nothing much is happening with my body like last time so I am just going to start over again on Monday.  It really is no big deal when I am not traveling.  I don't miss anything.  So full breakfasts after Monday and more attention to not snacking and maybe a few less carbs and see if I can get anything going.  Maybe I am just stuck with this almost perfect weight and body, though.

Definitely have to start over.  I ate a few veggie sticks which I thought were mostly compliant but it turns out it was a different brand with corn starch in it.  No reaction however. Also, had a little chocolate to make it until the end of the dance and a little hard cider after.  And this morning, the eggs that were supposed to be just plain could have had some dairy product in them from the taste of them so... Meals today start at lunch, a little chicken soup and a few EPIC chicken jerky on the way home.  Feeling very bloated and ill and tired so maybe a chicken salad this evening although I am not at all hungry.  No plans for trips again for a month so this month should work.  There really doesnt seem to be any way to eat in restaurants if they won't even tell you what the ingredients are.

Slept well last night, awake a few times and back to sleep, I think the l-tyrosine addition is making a difference.  Pain level is diminishing, I need to keep taking the grape seed extract and curcumin.  I managed to stay in bed until 6 but awake mostly by 5 after 7 hours, just too hungry to stay in bed.  I didn't eat at all after dinner that I finished about 7 last night, just had a chicken salad with dressing and avocado for fats.

Fitful sleep with 2 pillows under my head and bed raised slightly, it worked better but not completely stopping the reflux.  I was able to go back to sleep after 5 because I felt it less, had 2 HB eggs in the middle of the night.  Kind of tired today

Breakfast: 2 eggs, zukes, peppers, mushrooms, avocado, a bit of sweet potato, catsup, tea and coffee with nutpods

Lunch: 2 chicken meatballs, squash soup, spinach, carrots with almond butter

Dinner: Chicken salad with peppers, carrots, sunflower seeds, avocado and lime tahini dressing, a couple of baby potatoes

Yoga cancelled today so just home practice, meditation and a walk around the railroad tracks.  I am going to try tapering off of the mirapex as I am having no RLS.

Still having stomach problems. lots of burning last night and burping, ended up on the wedge in the guest bedroom and then got some sleep.  I tried cutting the mirapex by a half and then decided this was not the time with my stomach acting up.  I ended up putting a little yogurt in my flax this morning so not really Whole 30ing it.  I just need to see if it helped.

Breakfast, Flax, fruit, coconut milk, almond butter and little yogurt ( I have to say that my stomach feels better)

Lunch: squash soup, 3 meatballs, spoon of almond butter, 2 baby potatoes

Dinner: probably some chicken meatballs, carrots and almond butter and baby potatoes (on the road to a gig)

One week down on the restart, stomach is improving a little with prilosec.  I took 2 yesterday and haven't taken one today yet.  I hate to get to used to it as the rebound when I quit is difficult but I see little choice right now.  Too much irritation in my stomach and esphogaus (sp?). I am going to get some liquid gaviscon tomorrow and start marshmallow root when it comes and maybe look for a better wedge that isn't so hard and uncomfortable.  The bed raise really doesn't work well although I am used to the angle now.  Very tired this morning after a late night returning from a dance in Boyds.  And then, I was too cold to sleep for a while and had guests using the bathroom with the tub so couldn't fix it.  Last nights dinner was  the chicken meatballs with a lettuce salad with guacamole and carrots and almond butter (forgot the potatoes).  I am very glad I brought something as they were serving hamburgers.

Breakfast today was fruit, flax, almond butter, coconut milk and a HB egg.

Lunch is squash soup, chicken meatballs, spinach and grapes and carrots

Dinner will be chicken salad I think.

The weather is slightly better so we may get out to millpond to walk after I napped all morning to recover from the long night.

Dinner was shrimp stir fries with onions, peppers, zukes, coconut aminos, and coconut oil.  Lettuce was really done so couldnt use it.

Slept well until 2-3 am then bad reflux and had to sleep downstairs with wedge but didn't completely help for a while then good sleep for a few hours until 6:30. Ate a HB egg and a bite of avocado at about 2 am.  Still not losing any weight, I will get back to egg breakfasts after I can buy a few vegetables when we go to town today. I used up absolutely everything this time, no waste.

Breakfast fruit and flax with almond butter and cocomilk and HB egg

Lunch squash soup with chicken meatballs, a few baby potatoes

Dinner Chicken salad with peppers, carrots, lime tahini dressing, sunflower seed and grapes

Going to Colville today to drop car off and go shopping, hope to get a walk in sometime, yoga in the morning first.

Slept pretty well last night although I woke up a lot but went right back to sleep mostly.  Started the reflux at 3:30 am which is much later than usual.  The prilosec is finally starting to kick in.  Slept on the wedge after 4:30 for a deep sleep for two hours.  I was probably awake for a hour waiting for the reflux to end. No RLS at all.  I am feeling rather drugged lately from the mirapex and would love to take it down but am waiting to resolve the reflux issue.

Meal plan today:

Breakfast:piece of fritatta with about 2 1/2 eggs, peppers, mushrooms, zukes, spinach, avocado, and some baby potatoes and coconut amino and catsup. Coffee and tea with nutpods.

Lunch: leftover shrimp and couple of chicken meatballs.

Dinner: chicken soup with peppers, carrots, celery, mushrooms, onions, zucchini, coconut oil, sweet potatoes, small salad maybe.

Also had a few baby potatoes and sunsauce for dinner and a handful of almonds and potatoes before bed.  I felt a little lack of control, I just wanted to eat but managed to get by it.  Tried HTP last evening and slept 6 hours from 10:20 to 4:20.  Some trouble getting back to sleep after that but not too much reflux, was able to stay in bed after sitting up for few minutes and burping.  My stomach is burning some this morning but I am trying no prilosec and starting marshmallow root and digestive enzymes, I am also going to dig out the leftover DGL mixture that I have somewhere.  Really don't want to take prilosec for more than a week.

Meal plan today:

Breakfast: fruit and flax and almond butter and coconut milk, a chicken meatball with a little avocado

Lunch: squash soup and chicken meatballs, maybe a little tuna salad

Dinner: chicken soup with peppers, carrots, celery, sweet potato, onion, mushrooms and zukes.  Maybe a few baby potatoes again, they made me feel full for most of the night.  We have to go to get the car today and will try to get yoga, meditation and a walk in despite the bad weather.

Slept pretty well last night after a slow start (Nasocort that I am trying on doctors advice and kind of against my own advice for plugged up ears?).  I started taking 5-htp again to try and get through this bout of acid reflux so I was able to sleep about 6 hours when I finally went to sleep, then the reflux got too bad and I slept on the wedge kind of fitfully for a couple hours before daylight.  Went to the gym today and got in 3 miles at 3% and 18 laps.

Meals today: Breakfast-fritatta with 3 eggs, pepper, zukes, mushrooms, spinach, ghee, with a little guac on top

Post wo-2 chicken meatballs and 2 baby potatoes

Lunch-tuna,mayo, carrots, lettuce, cooked broccoli, grapes

Dinner-Chicken soup from yesterday

I am starting reintro, I decided that the slight slip that I had about halfway through would not be enough to continue as my stomach is continuing to give me trouble.  About the only NSV I had is the cessation of restless leg, probably from no alcohol.  I am reintroducing dairy today and hope that this makes my stomach better, will eat some yogurt.  Also, following Art Fossil's suggestion, I will look for a new gastroenterologist to do my colonoscopy and an endoscopy to look for why this is happening.  Going on double prilosec until then with the addition of liquid mylanta and glutagenics and papaya enzymes.  Last night was the worst it has been, sleeping on the wedge all night which bothers my back.  No relief there or on my elevated bed.  I finally took mylanta at 4 but don't see much difference.  But the most frustrating thing is that before I started this whole 30, I was thinking that I was completely cured of the reflux and then it came roaring back on Whole 30.  I probably do need the dairy to keep it at bay.  And I didn't lose any weight although my belly seems smaller.  Still 137 this morning after all this cooking, shopping and continued pain.  So I guess, even though the first whole 30 was spectacularly successful, this one not so much.  I think I will try to reintro properly but I don't know if I can tell anything since my stomach is causing such trouble.  Oh well, I guess not the right time. I may be at my best weight for my body even though I would really love to get rid of the belly and to be just a size or two smaller.  It seems that many years ago when I managed to get down below 130, I had real stomach problems then too.
