bbuoy10
I'm restarting my W30 today because I had wine while I was cooking my meals for the week last night. Any tips for avoiding the temptation?? The weekends are so hard. Thanks.
hmg1993
I rely on multiple flavors of sparkling water to keep me on the straight and narrow. I'm on day 84 of a whole 90 and now don't miss wine in the slightest -- and trust me, i used to LOVE it. A cocktail on the weekend was my thing and my social life was built around it. I am very glad to be free of those cravings. Way too much sugar. I highly recommend La Croix and Polar Springs waters as they have tons of flavors. Good luck on the restart! ArtFossil
A no snacking rule would eliminate the wine slip as well as focus attention on having template meals. It's only 30 days. 30 days without wine can be illuminating. If you're associating being in the kitchen with wine, spend less time in the kitchen. Whole30 meals can be simple. Mistyfire
I really enjoy the ginger kombucha and use as a special beverage when I want something that isn't water or tea.
Guest
I love flavoured sparkling water (sparkling water with a splash of orange juice or something)
rhed
I like dropping a couple of slices of frozen strawberry in my sparkling water.
Babsie95
I second the kombucha....I find it hard to believe that something so sweet and yummy is compliant. I love the gingerberry and the raspberry pomegranate flavors and drink only every once and a while, maybe once or twice a week
nicolemalena
Sparkling water in a pretty glass has definitely helped me, along with focusing on how I'll feel in the long run. So far, on day 22, it HAS been illuminating to realize how I feel without it. Just remind yourself that you'll get a good nights sleep and not wake up feeling hungover/tired/unmotivated. Babsie95
My BIL said something interesting to me a while back that I just remembered. He said that he tries to eat for how he will feel in a few hours versus how he feels while eating... food for thought I guess

bbuoy10
Thanks everyone. I do feel like absolute crap when I drink. Terrible sleep. Way too easy to make bad food choices. I really think I drink when I'm bored and just out of habit.
