alexmeyers
Hi everyone, My name is Alex, and I'm a sugar-holic. I did my first Whole30 almost 3 years ago and loved it, and have kept a paleo-ish lifestyle ever since...except when I completely derail with mass amounts of sugar, which has been getting to be, um, pretty much daily. I got to Day 13 a few months ago, and then the damn bottomless candy bin at work brought me down, like a chump. I struggle with chronic migraines and IBS, and I know that both feel better when I'm eating squeaky clean, but my cravings keep sabotaging my efforts. So, this time, I'm making it public, and hopefully y'all will help feel like I've got some accountability. Thanks!
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted October 2, 2016 Moderators Share Posted October 2, 2016 Hi, Alex! I don't know what your meals look like, but in general, something that helps me keep cravings at bay is to make sure that my meals are good, hearty meals that meet the meal template and will keep me satisfied for 4-5 hours at a time easily. Sometimes it feels like a lot of food, but eating a lot at meals keeps me from grazing on other foods, or giving into whatever treats are around.
