RachelSE616
Hi Everyone, I finished the Sept. Whole 30 and had lost 7 pounds! I was pretty excited about it and decided to extend my whole 30 to a whole 60, so I am in day 4 of my second month. This morning, I decided to weigh in again and had put 3-4 pounds back on, but I am not doing anything differently than I was in terms of eating. I had been unable to work out during my first month due to a foot sprain, but have started working out again 3-4 days a week since starting my second month. It doesn't feel like weight gain from muscle, as I don't feel or look any leaner. What would the reason be for putting back on a few pounds when I am still eating clean and working out? Moderators ShannonM816 Posted October 9, 2016 Moderators Share Posted October 9, 2016 Weight fluctuates from day to day, and even over the course of one day. It can be affected by what you've eaten, what time of day you weigh, where you are in your cycle, and probably other things I'm just not remembering right now. That's one of the reasons Whole30 asks you not to weigh yourself during your Whole30. Be sure you're eating enough -- three meals a day that follow the meal template, plus pre- and post-workout meals when needed. Drink plenty of water -- aim for 1/2 oz per pound of body weight, so a 120 lb person needs at least 60 oz. Try to keep your stress levels down. Get enough sleep. Relax, don't worry about it, and keep going. It'll be fine, really.
