MrsKennel
So I'm on day 5 of my whole30 and still haven't had a solid poop. Is this normal? I am taking fish oil (2000mg a day), vitamin d, zinc, digestive enzymes, and magnesium at night. Thoughts?
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted October 16, 2016 Moderators Share Posted October 16, 2016 In general, be sure you're eating plenty of vegetables and drinking lots of water -- at least 1/2 ounce per pound of body weight, so a 120 lbs person needs at least 60 Oz. If you want more specific feedback, post a couple of days' worth of meals with approximate serving sizes and we can see if anything stands out that you could change. Moderators ShannonM816 Posted October 16, 2016 Moderators Share Posted October 16, 2016 You seem to be eating a good mix of vegetables (although I'd note that if on Day 2 dinner, your peas were regular English peas, those are legumes and not allowed. If you mean snap peas or snow peas, it's fine). Be sure you're drinking plenty of water, that can make a difference. You could also try probiotics, either a pill form or from fermented foods like raw sauerkraut, kimchi, or kombucha. It may just be your body getting used to eating this way, but if it's painful or continues for very long, you might want to consult a doctor.
