Day 9- not sure how I am doing

I do have the book, but I thought I read on here that there was a place to go "what to expect when".  I did read in the book regarding first week, 2nd week and day 15-30.   I am hoping for a little for details.   I "expected" my body to adjust easier and progress easily.   I also thought I would feel lighter and less bloated by now.  I did the first three days and then that went away.   I have had to trouble shoot a bit, as I realized at one time I was eating too little, then probably a little too much.   I realized that all of my exercising did not mean the type of work out that required pre and post fuel.  The book clearly says - High Intensity.   Not moderate.   So, I was probably eating too much there.   I feel very bloated today (day three)  even though I am finally not snacking between meals.   I had insomnia last night, which NEVER happens to me.    I feel fat.   I know this is not a weight loss program, but I need some re-assurance that this is going to help in that dept. Obviously the way I was before, allowed me to gain fat! despite that I thought I was eating ok and exercising.   UP until a year ago, I did not have a weight-fat issue.   I am 52.  Over night I pretty much did gain it all. Without changing diet.   I did not eat the most efficient, but I wasn't horrible either.  I need some encouragement.  I want to "believe" in this and stick with it, but my fear is I will continue to feel bloated and hoard more fat.

The "what to expect when" would be the timeline. Bloating can be normal at first, but usually mostly goes away after  a couple of weeks. If you're still bloated, it is possible that there is something that you're eating that isn't agreeing with you. For instance, cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, kale) can make many people feel bloated. Raw vegetables or nuts could as well. Some people have additional items they're particularly sensitive to, like nightshades or FODMAPS.

If you gained a whole bunch of weight without making any changes, you might want to speak to your doctor. This could be a sign of thyroid or other issues, which of course no one here could diagnose for you.
