Beginning my first Whole30 10/23

I've been slowly working toward a healthier lifestyle and seeing no real results with my meager workouts (I've been struggling through Couchto5k for a while now and I'm now on week 5) and my usually carb-heavy, vegetable-light quick weeknight meals, I've decided to take on the Whole30. Thankfully my husband has agreed to do this as well so I won't see as much temptation, and our toddler will generally eat what we eat at home. I'm reading through It Starts With Food now and I've made our first week's meal plan. The plan is to go shopping this weekend and spend Saturday night purging the house of forbidden items. My first week looks a little boring but the meals are easy to make. I think it will keep me on track better than more tasty but harder to prepare meals, because I already hate weeknight cooking. Glad to join you all!

Yes I think you are wise to keep it simple for the first week.  I envy you though with just a toddler....I have two teenage kids who love ice cream and cookies and pizza...and one has a drivers license to go get them!  Having your husband on board too will help you.  Good luck!
