Whole30KateW
Today is my first day! Made Melissa's Chicken Mash for dinner - leftovers for tomorrow. Question: I thought canned meat would be easy, but a lot of canned tuna and chicken has vegetable broth in the ingredients and mentions soy as part of the broth...any suggestions on what brands are good of canned meat, or is any canned meat compliant? And where is the best place to buy?
Moderators SugarcubeOD Posted October 25, 2016 Moderators Share Posted October 25, 2016 This is not a question that is easy for the internet to answer... you really need to go to your stores and read ingredient labels.... in Canada, almost all Tuna is compliant, in the States, almost none is... it IS possible to find it but you need to do the leg work in your stores in your own region
Zengirl
I have the same question!
jmcbn
I'm pretty sure this has been asked before - try doing a search via Google for Whole30 compliant tuna - but remember that ingredients can vary from region to region, or change from month to month so ALWAYS read your labels, even if it's something you've bought before. Cathy125
Wild Planet is one to check out - Another compliant brand I recently bought was 'Safe Catch" Both were delicious but, a quite a bit more $$ than the more mainstream brands And as always check the ingredients for regional differences.
