banananna445
Hello! I'm in day three and definitely experiencing a "hang over". Headaches on and off through out the day and feeling absolutely exhausted. But one thing I hadn't anticipated was feeling so "down". Like utterly mopey and depressed. This sort of thing happens sometimes when I'm really exhausted or sleep deprived, so maybe it's the lack of energy that comes from withdrawing on sugar and carbs. In any case, is this normal? Is there anything I can do to combat this?
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted October 26, 2016 Moderators Share Posted October 26, 2016 Be sure you're eating enough, especially enough fat and at least one fist-sized serving of starchy vegetables each day. Also be sure you're salting your food. If you're not sure if you are eating enough or the right mix of stuff, feel free to list a day or two of what you've eaten with approximate portion sizes and we can take a look. Non-food-wise, get out into the sunshine each day, get some kind of movement (walk, stretch, dance, or whatever exercise you do), and do your best to get enough sleep each night.
