Aside from the Whole30 book, there are no sample meal plans by the creators of Whole30 and we can''t post copy-write protected content to the forum.

Any combination of protein, veggies and fat will do.

Take a look at the template linked below as well as the rules. Make your meals match the template following the rules and you're doing it!

Tens of thousands have gone before you without the Whole30 book using only what is on this website so I bet you can do one day!

As for support groups, take a look in this forum that you joined, there are dozens of people starting on or around the same time as you as well as groups already going as they ramped up to their first day. Feel free to join any of them.

Hi Rums,

How did you do today?  I started today too and found Day 1 to be relatively easy except that I was so nervous about getting hungry in the middle of the afternoon that I ate a HUGE lunch and probably ate way too much.

I'm pouring over recipes -- I made a plan for the first week and I have a refrigerator full of fruits and veggies but I'm still a little worried and I could use some support.

Good luck!  Would love to hear how you did!

HI, my husband and I started on the 14th (yesterday) too! He's not such a joiner but I would be glad to be in a support group with you. I more or less ate Whole30 on Sunday too, and did the shopping so we'd have good things to eat. We have two teenage sons, so the kitchen is still stocked with bread, milk, etc. Temptation will be there. I did great on my first day except I think I went overboard on nuts, and I think my lunch was spread out into more of a grazing affair than whole meal. This is one of my big habits and I'll try today to have more definite meals (and limit nuts to a handful). I have a big challenge coming up: Tomorrow is a business trip for three days. I'm plotting out how I'll get to a market as soon as I land so I can supplement the dry goods and fruit I can pack in my suitcase with the liquid things I'll need (like oil and fresh spinach). I liked and absorbed the newsletter today on self-efficacy. This is a good concept!

I also started yesterday (the 14th).  This is my second (official) Whole30.  I get on and off the bandwagon in a cycle of eating well, eating ALL THE FOOD, then eating well again.  This time I bought the "Food Freedom Forever" book so this is my official reset before I learn how to end this cycle of getting off track and then giving in to all my cravings.  I'm pretty all or nothing when it comes to food.  I eat super squeaky clean until I don't, and then I think "well, I've already messed up so I might as well eat the whole bag".  So this journey is for me to learn how to control what I eat.

Yesterday was good for me - I had that whole "empowered" thing going.  Today is going well, except I'm counting down the minutes until lunch because I'm at work and there are no healthy things for me to snack on until I get to my balsamic chicken and broccoli (delish!) that I made last night.

I have a pinterest board called  "Whole30 Foods" and there's TONS of recipes that are compliant or could easily be compliant by a simple adjustment (like by swapping coconut flour for corn start to thicken a sauce).  I don't have it all planned out for a week but I generally make 4 recipes a week, sometimes doubling them to have leftovers for work.  This has been the best way for me to ensure that I stay on track away from home (I'm a teacher and nothing in the cafeteria is compliant but I can heat lunch up in the microwave).  Hope y'all can find something that helps!

I also started the 14th--- this is my second Whole30.  The first one was amazing and I did it through the Holidays last year.  But I hit the struggle bus this summer and fell into bad habits again.  One thing I do know that has helped is food planning.

If you live near Hy-Vee use the Aisles Online and put all the stuff you need in the cart.  Coconut Aminos, Broccoli Slaw, and fresh organic lean meats can be bought there.

If you live near Cosco--- they carry bacon, brats, and hot dogs that are sugar free..

Good luck to you guys and please send me some encouragement as I get past the first week.

I started on the 14th too (first WH30)!  First 3 days have been good. Bit headachy at times and hungry but when I really look at that 'hunger' I think it's just cravings.  I had a filling and delicious dinner tonight but I'm still thinking about food.  I'm not going to give in cause I know it's just snacking, I don't really need to eat anything.

How is everyone else doing?

How is everyone doing on Day 4? I also started on the 14th! I am definantly seeing how much I was eating for just cravings and bad habits vs real hunger. This has been a huge eye opener but I am so happy to have found the program!

I'm seeing the same thing!  Discerning between actual hunger and cravings, makes you realize how much you rely on those foods!  So far it hasn't been too bad to stick to the plan but I've had to keep busy when I'm home at night, down time is my enemy (which makes me worry about this weeked).  As predicted I'm definitely noticing that I'm crankier today than usual...could just be this all the meetings I've had to sit through but a good portion of it is probably nutrition related.  I'm also sleeping better which is awsome!
