First of all welcome @BROSIERE215 I've made this recipe it's Pumpkin Custard breakfast casserole and I'm going to NC for Thanksgiving and I plan on making this while everyone is having pumpkin pie!  I've made it a few times and love it and it's compliant!

Since you're hosting, it'll actually be a little easier. You can make sure most of the items you cook are whole30 and no one even needs to know the difference. Here's some recipes that you could make that I think most people would like:

http://meljoulwan.com/2011/11/17/velvety-butternut-squash/    -- could do with sweet potatoes instead if you prefer.

This changes the presentation of the turkey but makes it cook faster and more evenly: http://nomnompaleo.com/post/66597843666/butterflied-big-bird-spatchcocked-turkey

And this post links to a whole bunch of other recipes, not all whole30 compliant, but  with a Paleo focus: http://nomnompaleo.com/post/67751963650/forky-friday-nomtastic-thanksgiving-roundup

Even if you're doing a potluck style, you could easily make a few of these so you have options. Having plenty of food options that you can have should go a long way toward helping you not be as tempted by other foods.

  • 3 weeks later...

How is your whole30 going? I started mine on November 14th too :) How was your thanksgiving?

Only 9 days more days till the end of whole30 but I plan on going on for another month. Because I STILL desire chocolate and cakes. Everything else has been a breeze though.

Let me know how you're coming along :)
