With Thanksgiving around the corner I was trying to think of food I can eat so I won't be left out of our family time. A typical dish that is made is pernil (pork shoulder roast). If I season the pork with salt, pepper and garlic powder and place it in the oven to roast is this okay for the Whole 30? I just want to double check. :(

Yes, this is totally fine.

In the interest of helping you learn what is & what isn't allowed during your 30 days, why did you think this might not be allowed?

And can I recommend you maybe try nom nom paleo's kalua pig if you're going down the pork shoulder route? It never fails to disappoint....
