Mom and daughter starting Nov. 28

My 16 year daughter and I are starting on Monday November 28.  We are looking forward to the positive impact on our lives.  The main impetus for starting our Whole30 journey is the extreme acne that my daughter has been experiencing recently, that just keeps getting worse...It hurts me to see how it is affecting her physically, and psychologically.   We will do anything for our kids, and this is my motivation.  No greater one for me.  We will do this together.

Joyce and Katie, welcome to the Whole 30!

When I did my first Whole 30 (it turned into a 105) I had a very severe condition on my hands every summer. I never imagined that it was food related, but with the Whole 30 it completely cleared up. I hope Katie sees the same kind of results!

It's important to jump into a forum group to get answers to your questions and support. There's a group that started last Monday, that you can join here:

Enough excuses! Starting 11/21!!

Or, I'm sure that there will also be a group starting 11/28. Make sure that you jump in where somewhere and get the support you will need.

I'll be hanging out over at the 11/21 group, but don't hesitate to message me if I can help in any way.

Best of luck to you both!

Hello - My 15.5 yr. old daughter and my husband are all starting tomorrow too.  And one of the reasons my daughter is willing to participate is the hope that is will help with her acne too.  I'm happy to hear someone else will be on this journey to better health during what could be the worst tempting month of any year. ;)

Cheers (with my empty wine glass) to developing positive eating habits,

Mary

Joyce and Katie,

How has the 30 days gone for you?  My husband and I are hooked and have been pleased with how we feel.  My daughter has been a real trooper especially thru THE most difficult month of the year to be committed.  We went out to eat at a pasta restaurant the week before Christmas.  She really wanted chicken alfredo.  She had it and then got right back on track the next day.  She doesn't feel her acne is any better, but her mood sure has been!  I'd say she's more balanced and happy - and for any teenager - this is a parent's dream. ;)

We are looking forward to incorporating the way of eating as we ring in the New Year soon.......

Mary
