DeeRT
Hi all! i just bought this cashew cheese. The lady at the store told me it was W30 compliant. I got it home and it is delish...but not sure about the compliance. I uploaded a photo to show ingredients...it has some sort of quinoa thing in it and yeast. What do you all think? Thanks, DeeRT
Moderators SugarcubeOD Posted November 30, 2016 Moderators Share Posted November 30, 2016 No, this is not compliant. It has grains in it (nutritional yeast is fine) and it's recreating disallowed foods with compliant ingredients (sex with your pants on). Nope, sorry. DeeRT
Lol! That's what I thought. Sigh. What the heck is rejuvelac anyway?
laura_juggles
Apparently it's a "probiotic super drink" made from fermenting sprouted grains. http://www.superfoods-for-superhealth.com/rejuvelac.html
Moderators ultrarunnergirl Posted December 1, 2016 Moderators Share Posted December 1, 2016 Besides the SWYPO, quinoa is NOT allowed on your Whole30. Take your approved ingredients list along until you know it by heart, you can't rely on people trying to sell you things in stores or restaurants.
