Ashley508
Starting my second whole 30 January 2nd! Why the second? My bff is getting married NYE so January first will honestly be a bit hungover of a day for me. My first whole 30 wasn't too rough, I forgot how great food tasted but I did miss wine! I will miss wine again!! Meal prep was great for my waistline and I spent waaaay less money eating out! My biggest temptation with round 1 was day 30 when I was invited out for nachos and margaritas but had to turn my friends down so I could "finish"
clfitzgal
I changed my start date to the 2nd as well. There is an official group starting that day on Facebook so it seemed like a good idea. Also, I'd hate to miss out on my traditional New Years Day brunch with Apple Cider Mimosas!
ArtFossil
@clfitzgal, just a word of caution that there are no "official" Whole30 groups on Facebook. So, if you have questions about the program, be sure to ask a moderator here on the forums. Also, if you want to keep a personal log here in the Whole30 section, you can always ask a mod to take a look at your meals if you have questions or issues. Ashley508
Day one is over!!!! 29 more to go!!! Grocery shopping was horrendous where I live, went to Trader Joe's and Wegmans and label reading was challenging due to the volume of people out shopping!! Bought Pederson's unsweetened whole30 approved bacon and it was easily the most delectable bacon I've ever eaten! Worth the 5.49 I paid. Made veggie bacon frittatas, portioned some fruit cups and roasted potatoes with olive oil and spices. Made 3 organic grass fed burgers and ate one with Primal Kitchen's Chipolte Lime Mayo, and some asparagus. Breakfast was pre shopping and was broccoli, fried eggs, raspberries and black espresso. I ate so much crap over the holidays that it feels so awesome to get a solid day of nutrients!!! #whole30 I'd love to know what everyone else is eating and get some inspiration
VickiPWV
Hey everyone. So now day 5. I've been at work. I work out of town a week at a time. pre made all my food. Stayed on track!! I found that I got the withdraw headache at day 3 but nearly as bad as my first whole 30. I'm wondering if I will get to the good part sooner. I have missed better sleep and energy. I will not miss all the aches and pains and migraines. how is everyone else feeling? So just to give a peek at what I packed: steak and butternut squash, I made paleo ranch (recipe from nom nom paleo) cooked up some potatoes, chicken, cauliflower rice, stuff pepper soup. I picked up fresh veggies and hard boiled eggs hope that helps V
VickiPWV
So I have noticed this time around, I have more mental cravings. I'm not hungry. I know what to eat and have stuff on hand. but my cravings are crushing me right now. I know it is completely mental but is this a good thing? Is this the next step of getting control over the "sugar dragon"? Just curious, so I thought I would send it out into the universe.
