LaniLou
Can I have methylsulfonylmethane? My doctor recommended it to me along with glucosamine hydrochloride and chondroitin sulfate for joint pain and I find that my pain has been significantly reduced since taking it? Do I need to discontinue it during my Whole30?
jmcbn
Doctors orders trump Whole30 rules so if your Doctor has prescribed it you're good to go. If it's NOT a prescribed medicine I'd comment that Whole30 is designed to be an anti-inflammatory diet by removing sugars and all the main gut disruptors - I'd suggest you give the 30 days a go sans supplements to see if you can't find the root of the problem (via reintroductions) rather than continuing to just treat the symptoms (unless of course you know what the root of the problem is!) LaniLou
Thank you jmcbn. I do know the cause of the pain is bone on bone in my knees. However it was a recommendation not a requirement by my doctor. So I will try discontinuing it during my Whole30.
