Ellenm34
Hi guys, I'm on day 2 of whole30 and I'm making pork chops and green beans tonight.... or so I thought. I got Bird's Eye steam fresh green beans and I looked on the back to check how long to microwave them, and I saw that it has 2g of sugar..... which I didn't think to check in the store because the book says frozen veggies are the way to go to save a budget. My two questions are, can I eat them?? And if not, any suggestions on which brands to buy instead? Thanks!!
QuilterInVA
Sugar occurs naturally in all fruit and vegetables. Only go by what's listed in the ingredients not the nutritional s.
Administrators ladyshanny Posted January 11, 2017 Administrators Share Posted January 11, 2017 Ingredient list is king. If the ingredients don't list any non-compliant ingredients, you're set. Through labelling loopholes, some manufacturers can show 0g of sugar even though they have added sugar to the product. Just read out the list of things in the item and you'll do fine.
