SunnieDays
I am working on creating my shopping list for the 7-day meal plan that is listed in The Whole30 book on page 196. Sunday morning lists pan-fried plantains, but there's no reference to the page number for the recipe. I couldn't find anything in the index - does anyone know if the recipe is in the book and if so, what page? If not, I'll just look up a recipe online. Thanks in advance for advice! kirkor
It's in the written-out section of Sunday, not the grid list.
Guadopt1997
Did you know there are at least two types of plantains? One is green and will stay that way so I have no idea how to tell when it's "ripe" and the other one is yellower but definitely not a banana! Moderators SugarcubeOD Posted January 30, 2017 Moderators Share Posted January 30, 2017 I've only ever heard of one type of plantain... it's green when it's not ripe and good for making plantain chips and tostadas with. When it goes yellow (and black) it's super ripe and exceptionally sweet and much softer and less starchy than the green.
