korip
So-I have read the book from front to back four or five times, I have been making and eating my meals and am enjoying the heck out of it. The "problem" is that I feel really good. Yesterday I did have a nagging headache that I attributed to my change in diet, but I just drank a lot of water and took some ibuprofen. It's gone today, and I am not feeling any of the other things-like, I am not irritable, I am not angry or "bite your face off" like the book said I might....it's just strange. And that is why I am wondering if I am doing something wrong-because I don't feel BAD! Has anyone else felt like this too? I am not complaining, but in the past when I went sugar and gluten free I felt horrible for a week! So I was expecting to feel just as bad, and I am not, so now I am not sure I am doing this right. Any input will help!
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted January 16, 2017 Moderators Share Posted January 16, 2017 If you're following the rules, you're doing it right. Not everyone gets the carb flu type symptoms in the beginning. If you're drinking lots of water, salting your food, and making your meals match the meal template so you're eating plenty of healthy food, that probably helps too. Betty7
Just out of curiosity, what day are you on?
korip
I am only on Day 3. I know it could still hit me and that the timeline isn't always the same for everyone, but I really really thought I would feel lots worse than I do!

I had to add more food today because I wasn't eating enough protein or fat yesterday.
RandiW
I was fine, had a small headache on day 2 or 3, but other than longingly thinking of bread and butter, no sick feelings and no moodiness until 5pm on day 5. I didn't suffer with a lot of detox issues, though I did have sleep issues for the first week. Otherwise I mostly felt great. Day 5-7 were a little moody and sad, and i had some vicious cravings getting into the second week, but none of the uber-sick stuff i've read a lot about. Doesn't mean you're doing anything wrong. Keep on keepin on.
