HelenLA
I started 2016 off with 35 days of Whole30. I would say the entire year was very successful as I continued to eat Whole30 compliant 80% of the time -at least - by purchasing Whole30 compliant groceries plus a tiny amount of dairy. 2016 saw 71 pounds lost as well as many other health improvements. I decided to start 2017 with another 30 days or more of Whole30. As I was planning my shopping list two weeks ago I looked at the local grocery ads and saw that potato chips cooked in coconut oil and avocado oil were buy one get one free. I put potato chips on my grocery list for the first time ever. that is to say that I never planned to buy them in my past I just bought them and devoured them in one or two sittings by opening the bag and popping it in front of me. Anytime I had a bag of potato chips,or any other kind of chips, they were constantly calling my name until the entire bag was gone. I'm testifying today that I bought 2 bags of potato chips more than 2 weeks ago. 1 with avocado oil and 1 with coconut oil. I have opened 1 bag of chips and eaten exactly 3 servings that I measured by scale to 1 ounce exactly each time on Different non consecutive days. I did not use them as snacks but I ate them as part of a meal and they were my startchy vegetable. I realize that potato chips are not part of the whole 30 plan but for me the main thing about whole 30 is to help me break unhealthy food habits. This is evidence to me of victory that I thought I would share with you - I conqured the potato chips - they no longer conquer me!
LizzyX4
This is inspiring! Thank you for sharing this. I'm on my first W30 (well, the first failed, this is actually the second) and so pleased with how it's changing my relationship with food. This is so awesome for you.
