Laura B
I have some tea made by Stash, it is Cinnamon Vanilla and the ingredients are: cinnamon, chamomile, rooibos, sarsaparilla and vanilla extract. I am concerned about the vanilla...since it is in tea do you think it contains alcohol? Would this be okay or should I just save it until I am done? Kirsteen
Since it's a dry tea I don't really see how it could have alcohol but if you go to customer services on their website http://www.stashtea.com/info/Customer_Service you can either phone them or email them any questions. I guess that way you'd know for sure
Laura B
Hmm...that's what I was thinking since it is dry. I'm not really sure how to pose the question to be honest, lol. I mean, if they use liquid vanilla extract that does have alcohol...would it still be present? Seems like it would evaporate fairly quickly... Moderators Tom Denham Posted October 22, 2012 Moderators Share Posted October 22, 2012 I suspect this tea is okay during a Whole30. I would be surprised if any trace of alcohol survived the manufacture of the tea blend and the steeping in hot water at your house.
Laura B
Thanks, Tom. I was thinking it would probably be OK, but need that reassurance security feeling.
