Headaches in the first few days are not unheard of. Be sure you're drinking plenty of water -- aim for a half ounce per pound of body weight, so a 120 pound person needs at least 60 oz. Also, don't forget to salt your food to taste. We do need some salt, and eating lots of whole foods, there won't be salt unless you add it, either as you cook or once you plate up the food to eat.

For the hunger, would you eat something boring and bland, like plain steamed fish and broccoli with no sauces or anything? If you would, you're probably hungry, so go ahead and eat something. Try to have a combo of protein, fat, and vegetables, or at least two of the three, rather than fruit on its own or larabars or things like nuts that you could easily overeat.

If you wouldn't eat something boring and bland, but you're wanting something, it's probably not true hunger. Try having a glass of water or a cup of herbal tea, and do something to distract yourself. Work on a hobby or craft, journal, meditate, clean something, talk to a friend or family member, play with a pet if you have one.
