I did my first whole 30 Sep 2016 with success.  My reintroduction was all over the place.   Christmas too much.    Trying to control the sugar in January.  It is time for round 2 starting January 27, 2017.  I am going to make some ghee to have it ready for tomorrow morning.

Day 1 - January 27. 2017  Friday

Meal 1 - 0700 - fried egg and 2 slices of back bacon, ghee, coconut oil

Meal 2 - 1230 - cucumber slices, 2 chicken drumsticks, orange

Meal 3 - 0530 - mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts, rotassiere chicken

6 glasses of water with lemon juice at work (3 glasses)

Day 2 - January 28, 2017 - Saturday

Meal 1 - 1015  fried egg, slices of bacon, ghee and coconut oil

Meal 2:  cucumber slices, tuna celery sticks, raspberries

Meal 3:  0600:  Mashed potatoes, broccoli, left over rotassiere chicken

1:00 bone broth

4:30  Snack 1 - a couple handful of Cashew (in the Costco parking lot)

Day 3 - January 29, 2017 - Sunday

Meal 1 -  1030 - fried egg, 2 slices of back bacon

Meal 2 - 3:00 - zucchini zoodles,  2 eggs, 2 slices of back bacon, bean sprouts, coconut aminos, coconut, ghee - stir fry type of dish

Meal 3 - cashew nuts, raisins, and raspberries, zucchini zoodles and meat sauce

Reflections

Slept last night 12 hours - wow - must of been tired.

Day 2 was doable, but it also challenging, in the sense of being vigilant and food took up alot of thought.

Slight headache, the last two days - but not enough to take any aspiring.   Took a walk this afternoon in the cold to clear head and get in some exercise.

Checked my sunbutter after reading BlueKoala post.

Between meal 1 and 2 I was not hungry, but saw that it has 6 hours passed and thought I better eat.  After meal 2, I was very full.  

Meal 3 started as a snack, but it was 0715 and I thought have some dinner.  I had prepared the zucchini zoodles and meat sauce earlier in the day.  Actually it is very good.  My family enjoyed it.  Probably will go on rotation weekly.

Back to work the next three days.

Day 4 - January 30, 2017 - Monday

Meal 1 - 0700 - fried egg and 2 back bacon

at work late lunch

Meal 2 - 1:45 - zucchini noodles and spaghetti sauce.  (I do not like it - could not finish it) and an orange

Snack 1:  0400 2 handful of cashews, apple and sunbutter

Dinner:  Roast beef, mashed potato, and green beans

Sleep:  Up a few times to the bathroom, not restful.

Energy:  At work, strangely quietly productive.  Came home and tired from the day.

Meals:  Learning to eat food for fueling purposes (not from my stress/emotional eating for comfort)  and learning some are meals are delicious and some are not, even though I would like to enjoy all my meals.    What is the saying "I eat to live, not live to eat".   I eat sugar for  comfort and stress, however, I seems like I can never have enough once I start.   Sugar messed up my reintroduction many  times.  This is the reason I am doing my second whole 30.  At this time, I am having no sugar cravings.

Mood:  Blah.

Day 5 - January 31, 2017 - Tuesday

Chaos day at work.  Worked a 16 hour day with no breaks.    Totally out of the norm.  Crises after crises.

Meal 1:  2:30 - fried egg, 2 pieces of back bacon (this day I did not have breakfast at 0700 and decided to bring it to work to have at 0930 - this was the original plan)

I ended up having a 21 hour fast.

Snack:  4:00  orange

Meal 2 0830 pm: - apple and sunbutter, chicken leg

I was too tired to post

 

Day 6 - Feb 1, 2017 - Wednesday

0700 - Meal 1 - back bacon and fried egg

12:30 - cucumber slices, chicken leg, orange

0400 - 2 handfuls of cashew nuts

06:30 - mashed potatoes and chicken leg

Too tired from yesterday.

Day 8 - Feb 3, 2017 - Friday

lots of food prep today

Meal 1 - 0700 fried egg, back bacon

Meal 2 - 0300 - 6 bora bora meatballs

0600 - chinese spice meatballs and backed potato with ghee

 

 

Day 9 - Feb 4 - 2017 Saturday

went Skiing - first time - for the day.  Signed into lessons.

0600 - Meal 1 - fried egg, and back bacon

12:30 - olives, orange (for lunch - my bora meatballs looked terrrible)  forgo soup and sandwiches served for lunch as part of our lesson package.

snack 1 0300 - orange

Meal 2 - 0600 - fried egg, ham and fried potatoes (at home)

Day 10 - Feb 5, 2017 Sunday

Meal 1 - 0700 - fried egg, 2 back bacon

Meal 2 - 1230 - chicken leg, orange, cucumber slices

Meal 3 - 0600 - pulled pork, squash and ghee

 

Day 11 - Feb 6, 2017

Meal 1 - 1000 - fried egg, 2 back bacon

Meal 2 - 2:10 - acorn squash, spaghetti sauce

 Chia tea with cinnamon and coconut milk

Meal 3 - 0:600 - Thai cabbage salad, baked potato and chicken leg

 

Day 12 - Feb 7, 2017

Meal 1 - 0700 -fried egg, 2 back bacon

Meal 2 - 0300 - scrambled eggs 2, apple and sunbutter

Meal 3 - 0600 - fried potatoes and chicken drumstick

 

Day 13 - Feb 8, 2017

Meal 1 - 0700 - fried egg, 2 back bacon

Meal 2 - 1230 - acorn squash, ghee and chicken

Meal 3 - 0600 - chicken wings, salad, and 1/2 baked potatoe
