ChefKris
Right before Christmas my husband took an A1C test at a lab and he scored 7.9 which was a diabetes diagnosis and an alarm. He is 59 and on high blood pressure meds. We both did Whole 30 for a month. He took another lab test after 30 days and his A1C dropped to 6.7. He also lost 16 pounds. I only lost 1.5 pounds, but I had a healthy weight (and diet) before we started. It wasn't that hard because I stay home and have time to cook, plus my husband gave me an unlimited grocery budget and I went crazy. Needless to say, I didn't feel deprived. But I did miss the sugar which came from my morning creamer and wine in the evenings. And the cooking was a ton of work. It was well worth it considering the health improvements. We plan to make this a lifestyle, but I will be adding back my glass of wine in the evening:)
