Christa Allan
...this is my first Whole30. I'm on Day 12. I know it's not about weight, but I'm not having any alleluia non-scale epiphanies either. I wonder if eating "fairly" healthy pre-W30 somehow diminishes the changes...and, I don't think I've lost 6 ozs....my clothes exactly same. Link to comment
Codysmom
Give it some time. That's all I can say. It also depends on how much weight you have to lose... Link to comment
Moderators SugarcubeOD Posted February 12, 2017 Moderators Share Posted February 12, 2017 This is a 30 day program, not a 12 day program... Link to comment

If you can't ask questions/whine here then where can you do it? I did the January Whole30 and for the first 2 weeks everything was really crazy. Large oscillations from feeling great to feeling crummy, diarrhea to constipation, energy to exhausted. My body didn't really level out until close to the end so give it time. Also remember that this really isn't a weight loss program. I know you hear that all the time yet everyone talks about losing weight so why the heck wouldn't you expect to also??? But seriously, you can eat enough calories on Whole30 to keep your weight where it is so there is no guarantee to lose weight and the emphasis really is on eliminating the foods that don't work well with your system. That being said, I did find that I lost weight when I filled my plate with non-starchy veggies for breakfast and lunch and only used starchy food (like sweet potato or plantains) for dinner after my workout. I ate enough veggies for each meal that I was full but focused on things like broocoli, carrots, mushrooms, bok choy etc for breakfast and lunch. Link to comment
Christa Allan
Urnesha--thanks so much for this! I appreciate the suggestion about the veggies and, perhaps, I've have to move away from the starchy foods. I guess the question, for me, remains...if after 30 days, I haven't lost weight...what then? MamaCass1982
My husband and I are R1D18 right now, and I just posted something similar in a Facebook group. A lot of people have been very encouraging, and from what I've heard from them is that some if not a lot of them didn't see many results or even NSV's until almost the last week or after they finished. I know that have been "successful" in not caving into my cravings which has always been very difficult, so I guess that is currently all I've got. I wish you the best of luck! Link to comment
laura_juggles
Depending on your relationship with food prior to Whole30, you may need more than 30 days for your body to heal. This also isn't a weight loss diet so it's never a given that anyone is going to lose weight. Just stick with it. Link to comment
