Carolyn S
Hey guys, I just learned in one of my biology lectures that complex carbs are very important to our diet as humans and I was wondering what complex carbs are complient for us? I believe people usually consider complex carbs as multi grain (bread pasta and bread), brown rice, legumes, beans, peas, etc.. which is not complient. What do you guys recommend as a good complex carb that is compliment? I know acorn squash and sweet potatoes are 2 but what are some more? Specific answers please! jmcbn
Pretty much any root veg is starchy so they would do the trick - so all varieties of potato, plantains, turnip, pumpkin, parsnip, yams, rutabaga - that sort of thing. With squash generally the softer the skin the lower starch they contain. Hope this helps.
