Slackermom 2 Posted March 7, 2017 I'm discovering intolerances to food that I used to eat on a weekly basis before starting Whole30. Foods that are compliant, such as eggs and canteloupe. I'm really curious to know the science behind this. Why are they making me so sick now when I've been eating them my whole life? Does anyone know?

ShannonM816 5283 Posted March 7, 2017 I've moved this to the Troubleshooting section since it does seem to be a better fit there. This could be as simple as, you're eating more of these things now, so you're noticing more of an effect. If you used to eat a few eggs a week, and now you're eating that many a day, you may have hit a point where your body doesn't deal well with them anymore. Guest Posted March 7, 2017 I have discovered new food sensitivities on the w30. My theory is my body was so inflamed before that it didn't notice the difference that those foods made because it was like adding a little kindling to a huge fire. Now that the fire is mostly out, those little flames are noticed by my body and reacted to.

I actually wasn't eating any less eggs than before but I can't eat them at all anymore. I'm heading in to see a specialist in food allergies Thursday so I'm hoping I can narrow it down some more.
