Newbie - March 24th Start Date!

Hi everyone!

My name is Emily, I'm from Michigan, and today is my first day of my first Whole30!  I'm 21 years old and will be graduating in May with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.  I'm scheduled to start a full time job on May 15th, but I'm not working right now.  That means, aside from classes and studying, I won't have this much free time again until I retire (probably), so it's the perfect time to start a Whole30! It's time to undo the damage of 4 years of living on a college campus and having a college student diet (pizza, mac and cheese, grilled cheese, basically all the cheeses).

If anyone else has a March 24th start date, I'd love to get in touch so we can motivate each other!!

Happy Friday!
Emily

Hi Chris!

It's going really well so far, except I tried the mayo/ranch recipe from the Whole30 book and it definitely does not look like ranch... It'll work for salads though!

I don't have classes on Fridays so this is my best day for meal prep :)

Thank you for your reply!

If you are looking for a good ranch dressing...try this one below.  I am on day 27..woohoo and this was (and will continue to be) something I make each week during prep time.. the whole family loves it!  I made the plain Mayo from the book and we liked that too.  (For egg salad..had to get creative with the use of eggs...egg salad in lettuce wraps for lunch).

i use Thai Kitchen brand canned coconut milk.  It will be a bit thicker if you only use the coconut cream, so depending on what you prefer, both are really good.

Good luck with your W30 journey...keep 2 things in mind....you CAN do this and it's only 30 days!
