TracyLeigh
I had wanted to start April 1, but realistically I know Easter dinner will be a huge stumbling block. I know myself well enough to know I can't make honey glazed ham, potato salad and banana pudding without tasting... Would it make sense to go ahead and start incorporating the Whole30 lifestyle--eliminating the no's now, knowing I'm not starting until the 17th. i want this to be a success, a lifestyle change, not a diet. My husband suffers chronic pain from a back injury and I know his sweet tooth and the insuing inflammation are a contributing factor. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to fail before I start.
Moderators SugarcubeOD Posted March 27, 2017 Moderators Share Posted March 27, 2017 Yes, this would definitely make sense... it's like a practice round where you can work out all the glitches...
KarenP
This sounds like a great idea to me. I'm going to join you and start "eliminating the no's now", plan and practice whole30 eating, and not truly start my Whole30 until April 18. (I have a special trip to San Francisco planned for the 17th and am sure I will not follow the rules on that date.)
ncoughlin
Im doing something similar! I have a wedding to attend for one of my best friends on april 8th. I was planning on starting my official whole30 april 10th but have begun switching out the cream/sugar in my coffee... testing out some whole 30 dinner recipes and reducing the rest of the non-compliant foods. Im hoping in addition to this leading to be feeling slightly better by the wedding, it will also reduce the severity of the "detox" period
