85MotherOf4AK
My family and I started w30 yesterday. This will be my 5th w30 since Nov. 2014. My family has done it with me most of the time. With exceptions of parties for their friends and a few school events. My husband has done 1 w30 with me 100%. Otherwise he would eat what I cooked but was also snacking and eating who knows what outside the house. I am very excited to do this again. I love the results that I see while on w30! Can't wait to start seeing them again. I was lucky enough to get in a Costco run before starting and got a really great base to start out with. Tons of veggies and a little fruit, Apple chicken sausage, approved turkey lunchmeat, chicken Italian sausage, smoked pulled pork, avocado oil, olives, canned tomatoes, pistachios, pecans, macadamia nuts, Apple sauce and fruit leather for kiddos lunches! We will not be so strict on the just 3 meals a day, no snacking rule. I have to adjust making enough food with enough fat and that usually takes a little while to get the hang of. Plus I am breastfeeding a 2 mo. Old) and need to be mindful of my milk supply.(I am pretty confident though as I did my very first w30 when my Tiny Guy was only 3 mon.) We also have 5 kiddos who are constantly hungry. We are defiantly going to focus on "Mini Meals" and the "would you eat salmon and steamed broccoli?" Guidelines. Kiddos M1: eggs, strawberries M2: Apple chicken sausage, olives, carrots, strawberries, apple sauce, Izze AS(afternoon snack): celery, apples, almond butter and raisins Adults: M1: cabbage, bell peppers Apple chicken sausage sauté with fried egg on top and fresh cucumber and tomato on the side M2: Costco Smokes pulled pork, lettuce wraps, Guacamole, carrots, celery w/ almond butter and raisins. ES(evening snack): tuna salad with bell peppers Whole Family M3: Zoodles w/ truly simple sweet itialian chicken sausage and marinara sauce. I love that there were no complaints about Zoodle instead of noodles. Especially from my "I dont like veggies except carrots" 6YO. He actually said it was yummy! I really need need to prep some sauces and do a cook up. Luckily I have done this a few times that I can wing it until I get a spare minute to make that happen. Between Speech, Soccer, and Basketball there is not much free time. I did get some Mayo made last night! Yay! More shopping and prep to come! First off, good luck! Sounds like you don't need it tho, you seem to have everything (and far more than I can manage) in hand. Cheers to you! My first Whole30 Costco run is tonight. We planned to pick up steaks, baby spinach and a bag of lemons, but I forgot I might be able to check out the nuts there. And, I'm going to have to look for that Apple Chicken and Chicken italian sausage! Sounds terrific Whole30 or no. Also didn't know they had avocado oil, so that's good to know too. Thanks, I'll have to look at Costco's offerings carefully today with my new Whole30 eyes.
