JudyT Posted May 4, 2017 Share Posted May 4, 2017 I made the slow cooker brisket today while at work and it is tough as nails!! Have I not cooked it long enough or did I cook it too long? Moderators SugarcubeOD Posted May 5, 2017 Moderators Share Posted May 5, 2017 Not sure how we would diagnose this problem for you... maybe you cooked it on too high of heat... maybe your crockpot is old or the internal temperature regulator is off... or it was a tough piece of meat to begin with... or not enough sauce... I assume by 'the slow cooker brisket' this is a recipe in one of the books? Try googling to see what you can do to save a tough piece of slow cooker meat...
