Help Please!!

Recommended Posts

I am on Day 13 and was doing fine until 2 days ago.  I have zero appetite and am nauseous whenever I even think about eating.  I have tried making new recipes but am still finding it very difficult.  I have a terrible headache and am feeling almost disoriented.  Could be hunger, as I have not consumed enough calories the past two days.  I was very healthy when I started this and already had a pretty clean diet and regular exercise routine.  Any advice??  Thanks in advance and sorry for all the complaining!!

Hey there -

Sorry you're not feeling well.. it sounds like you know you're under eating, which is the reason that you've got a headache and feel dizzy/disoriented.  Assuming you're not coming down with something, lets take a look at your meal composition and see what you've been eating...

Not eating when you have no appetite/nausea (assuming you don't have the flu) is basically a vicious circle that you can only break by eating...

No worries on 'complaining', we WANT you to come here and let us help you.  So list out your meals... template portion sizes, specific veggies, protein, fat and fruits, water consumption, exercise, sleep, whatever you think might be playing a factor as well.  It would be good to see what you were eating when you felt good and then after you started feeling bad.  Nutrition is cummulative tho, so it's possible that if you were undereating, it's just finally caught up with you... lets see where you're at and I"m sure we can help you!

Thank you so much for your response.  I ended up making soup that evening at 10:00 (!!) and it seemed to change everything.  Number one, I wasn't prepared that day or the day before so ended up with tons of veggies but no protein source other than eggs.  How many eggs can one person consume without going mad?  Even though it was late I ended up buying chicken and making a beautiful soup with sweet potatoes (using a recipe from the cookbook).  It was so different from the foods I had been preparing and really seemed to energize me back to a good place.  Early the next morning I went grocery shopping and made some very different recipes that took me out of the rut.  I am on Day 16 now and feel very much back on track.  I am so grateful for your reply and truly appreciate the support!!
