vickistrudders
Hi everyone, I started on 8th May, so on day 5 now. Feeling really good! I'm a new mum with a 7.5 month old. I started Slimming World in November and quickly lost all my baby weight in the first 12 weeks, but for the last 5 months my weight has stalled. I found myself reaching for more and more carb heavy foods, and sugary foods, so decided to do this Whole30 to reset my system and my mentality. I'm feeling much more energetic and I'm sleeping better (might also be due to the fact my little one has started sleeping through as well though!). I'm hoping I can kickstart my weightloss again and get my head back in the game. I'm 35 this year and really want to make it my healthiest year ever. hmg1993
Hi @vickistrudders I also started on May 8 and I have to say that if feels great to be on Day 5. This is my fourth W30 but each one is different and I try to apply the lessons learned like staying away from nuts and too much fruit. Slow but sure. Congrats on your new baby! Lea Mint
Welcome to Whole30!! I think it's wonderful you're getting healthy while you have a new baby! New moms have so much stress but when we aren't healthy our kids bear our wrath!
vickistrudders
Thanks for the welcome! This is actually my second Whole30, but the first one I did 5 years ago. I'm feeling better about this one though. Made it through today pretty much on point. Tomorrow will be tough as we're going out to a kiddies theme park for the day with my husband's parents and stepsister, and her kids. I'm going to have a big breakfast and take some snacks to help me through, and will attempt to make the best choices at lunch. There's usually something on a menu that I can make work. Today we ate out for lunch but I had a chicken & anchovy Caesar salad with no croutons, parmesan or dressing. So I know it's possible to make W30 work out and about. Lea Mint
I've started taking my Tessamae dressing with me to restaurants or getting oil and vinegar and that works pretty well! And I like eating out! I order steak or chicken with potato or veggies and it usually fills me up well. I can see a theme park being tough though. Good luck!
