ncgoaliemom
Hi all I'm brand new here and thought I would introduce myself. My name is Karen, I live in NC. I'm married with 2 grown step children and 1 13 year old daughter. I've been suffering with chronic pain for years, and went through a very rough patch medically (that ended with hospitalization and contracting c-diff) in November of last year that I've never really fully recovered from. I'm looking to heal my gut, hopefully reduce chronic inflammation and start to feel well again. I've done a myriad of elmination diets in the past (raw vegan, vegan, vegetarian, GF, etc.) and have found relief in the raw vegan diet, but my lifestyle now just isn't realistic for the amount of food prep necessary to sustain in that diet (not to mention I just don't have time to eat the amount of food you have to eat to get adequate calories). So here I am. I'm hoping to get some relief and healing. I do have some questions I'm hoping more of the seasoned folks can answer. How to you plan/stay on track while traveling? My daughter plays travel hockey, so we are on the road a lot. What are some suggestions for compliant meals when eating out? We have to go to an out of state tournament next week, so i was planning on prepping my breakfasts and taking those with me (hotel has a fridge) and maybe prepping proteins so I just have to find a salad or veggies to go with it?? I'd love any suggestions from anyone who travels often.

In fact we have a whole category related to Traveling and Dining out. There's also a dining out guide, linked in my signature below. If you can't see it, google 'whole30 dining out guide'.
