Look for a refined coconut oil -- it'll be in a jar and solid looking, just like regular coconut oil, but should say "refined" somewhere on the label. It won't taste or smell at all like coconut.

Alternatively, you could look for high quality animal fats like lard, tallow, or duck fat -- I've seen Epic brand in my local grocery stores. They could be used in any recipe that you'd cook in coconut oil, but would have a different, less sweet flavor.
