Marie Shipp
Hi, I've a friend who is a global worker in China and is starting Whole 30 after I told her about it, however, it's a bit harder to find good food there as it is here. She can't get coconut oil and is asking about sunflower seed oil, I guess that's what they use there. Is that ok? I don't think so but thought I'd ask. Thanks! Moderators Tom Denham Posted November 1, 2012 Moderators Share Posted November 1, 2012 Sunflower oil does not meet healthy eating standards. It oxidizes and overloads with omega 6 fats. See chapter 9 of It Starts With Food. A little is okay, but cooking with it is a bad idea.
