Brand newbie starting 6/6, anyone else starting then?

I am a sugar-craving, junk-food junkie, instant gratification girl desperate to get out of this addiction. I'm reading The Whole30, emptying my cupboards, doing online searches, making all kind of lists, familiarizing myself with additive and alternative sugar terminology, taking suggestions in the book (like joining this forum and other things I'm not necessarily comfortable doing), and getting myself geared up mentally, physically, and culinarily (ha-made that word up!) to go through temporary discomfort for the greater good of my overall health. I'm scared. Scared that I'll fail YET AGAIN and that I'll land squarely in the middle of self-loathing and embarrassment again. I've never put as much effort into a lifestyle change as I am right now. I'd like to hear from someone who may be as desperate and scared, yet excitedly hopeful as I am right now. I set my start date as June 6.

You're not going to fail... in fact, there is no failure in this plan.  Every day is a day to start again.  You're doing all the right things to ensure your success!  Once you start, come to the forum, read the success stories, let us know if you're having difficulty and you will get through this!  The one thing is that even if you go off the plan either accidentally or intentionally, you just start again. It's a lifestyle and we know that's hard to change, so we're here to help you, but be kind to yourself... no reason to loathe yourself over food!

Thank you for the encouragement. It means a lot.

I'm starting my round 2 on Monday 6/5, so I'm pretty close to your start date! You can totally do this. I never thought I'd be able to finish my first round, but I did. And it was completely worth the effort, let me tell you. Plan ahead, have fun with it, and you will absolutely succeed and feel amazing. :)
