New Here...Still Hungry

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone! I am new and I am on day 2 of the Whole 30.  I am a person who is used to snacking throughout the day so so far its been a little hard.  I am unsure if someone can give me some advice on whether I am on the right track based off a food log

Today for example:

Breakfast- Sweet potato bombs...a recipe I found on IG.  Boiled egg covered in sweet potato with Whole30 compliant bacon wrapped around it on top of a bed of kale.

Lunch: Zucchini noodles with turkey Bolognese sauce (tomato sauce, carrots, mushrooms, ground turkey)...maybe a good ladle size of the Bolognese.  Side of green beans...10 black olives....and side salad with carrots, jicama, and tessamaes ranch dressing.

Dinner I am having 2 pieces of grilled chicken cutlets with roasted veggies. another 10 olives

I am excited for my meal tomorrow as I am making this slow cooker casserole

So can you clarify, you're eating one egg for breakfast with some sweet potato and kale?  Bacon is a fat so you're woefully lacking in protein... eggs when they are your sole source of protein are as many as you can hold in one hand without dropping... that's at LEAST 3-4 for most people.

Did that ladle of sauce have at least one palm of ground turkey (your own palm's thickness x width x length)?  I doubt it... one good ladle of ONLY ground turkey would be about a palm but this has more than just the protein in it.

Your dinner looks good but I don't know what a chicken cutlet is... is that like the breast filets?  If so, that's not enough meat by a long shot...

Olives if they are your fat are open, heaping handfuls... 10 is not enough.

You're hungry because you're not eating enough altho you seem to have the spirit of the program down, so go ahead and up those meals.

yes it would be one egg.

Regarding the chicken cutlet what my mom does is basically cuts them thinner into thin filets if that makes sense.

Thank you for your advice.  I am not sure if you can look at the link I posted. So say if I cut a hefty portion of that casserole.  Would that fill requirements in a meal?

So your mom takes one chicken breast and cuts it into a few thinner pieces and you only eat two of those?  Ya, that's not enough unless the chicken breast was huge.

Hello everyone...I think today went much better :)

For breakfast I had a nice size slice of the casserole I made from the link on top of some kale with some peach slices(fresh)

For lunch I had about a hand size and a half of grilled chicken on a bed of spinach with a handful and a half of olives.

Dinner I am still thinking
