Roasted red pepper sauce

I made the roasted red pepper sauce, the one from the Whole30 book, last night. I love that you just throw the raw ingredients together and puree it. I'm wondering-do you have this sauce cold? There was a suggestion in the book to pair it with chicken meatballs. Would you heat up the sauce to pair it with something like that?
