notkevinmyrick
Hello, I pulled the trigger and registered for a 13.1 mile race. I'm really wondering what kinds of foods I should be eating because the majority of the American world would say focus on whole grain pastas, whole grain rice, brown rice, things of that nature. What foods should I be eating after runs and before the big race to load up on the energy. Thanks!!

Roberta Morris Zukauskas
What day are you in your Whole30? that can make a difference... Once I became more fat adapted, I found that a daily sweet potato was great. Before races I try to eat a hard boiled egg and a lara bar.
notkevinmyrick
This is my second time around doing the whole30 I started on November but I've been eating paleo for a little awhile. I will probably eat a sweet potato or two once a day up until the race.
Melinda Krueger
I'm a little nervous about Nov. 11 also, because I'll be running a marathon that day as well as it being day 11 of the whole 30. I'm used to the traditional gel packs during my races. I'm trying to figure out what to substitute instead. Anyone have suggestions?
