Interestingly, I feel as though my thyroid (for which I've been taking Synthroid for nearly a decade and it's been pretty well maintained) has suddenly revved up. I'm almost experiencing feelings of hyperthyroid ... jittery, trouble sleeping, etc. I've started skipping my meds 2x a week to try and get it to calm down, which probably isn't wise without consulting a doctor. Has anyone else experienced a revved up thyroid that makes you feel like you're now over-medicated? If so, did it last during your reintroduction phase? And beyond? Karen Posted July 3, 2017 Share Posted July 3, 2017 There are many anecdotal stories of folks on whole 30 needing to lower their thyroid meds, some by as much as half or more. Best to get your levels checked and discuss lowering your dose with your doc.
