Positive pregnancy test!!

My husband and I have the ultimate whole 30 success story! The MAIN  reason we even tried the whole 30 is because a friend of my younger sister's had been struggling with infertility for years and got pregnant immediately while she was on the whole 30 with no other fertility interventions. I'm 41, and my husband and I have been trying to conceive since last fall. In the past 8 months, I've been seeing an herbalist and acupuncturist, and cleaning up my diet in general (no dairy, no gluten, very little sugar). So my diet and health were already pretty sound. Then last month we did the whole 30, and two days ago we got a positive pregnancy test!! I'm THRILLED!  At first, it kind of seemed like a shot in the dark, but my friend's success story inspired me to at least give it a try. Bingo!!!

Not sure how exactly the Whole 30 provides such a fertility boost...I'd love to know more.  I know it greatly reduces inflammation, but I think it is a hormone reset too?

 Anyway, we are so grateful!

This is so awesome & encouraging to hear! I have been struggling with endometriosis & ovarian cysts for quite some time & hyperstimulation to any fertility meds - we were at the point where my doctor (who very much didn't want to give me this news) said for my body, we just can't keep doing this after 3 surgeries. Long story short, I decided to look up top endo specialists & scheduled surgery with him in September. New technique that gets rid of all of it & 2/3's of his patients get pregnant naturally after excision surgery & following up with a healthy diet that will decrease inflammation. That was September 14 and because of other circumstances, just started on the 10/26. I keep asking my husband why I haven't found this hard, because I am a carb (cereal &a crackers!) addict. But I know it's because after all my body has been through & a $20,000 surgery, that I owe it to myself to treat it well & of course the extra motivation of maybe getting pregnant! I have a 6 year old stepson who has been in my life since 2 & just like my own (his mom & I get along really well), so if it doesn't happen, then I know I am luckier than most. But we would love a baby & he would love a sibling so stories like this are so encouraging!
