MtnRunner
I just wanted to pass this on since it was one of my concerns when going Whole30. In the produce section by the nuts in my local Safeway (grocery store) I found dates rolled in coconut with half an almond on top. They come in a package of maybe 20 (?) for $3.99, which I think is a deal for sports nutrition. I just divy them up into little snack bags and take them on my longer rides and runs. They are delicious enough to snack on if I need a sweet treat too. I've also made my own "power balls" by processing dates, almond butter and coconut and carrying them around the same way. Way cheaper than gels, chews, etc. Enjoy!
Renee Lee
In general, these are inferior to sweet potato mash or baby food. Good alternative to gels; still not better than sweet taters

Kdappleseed
We found these too! There are also figs rolled just in almonds, they are even better tasting! I ate them as my thanksgiving dessert, 2 with coffee was more than perfect. I will introduce them as quick fuel also....good idea.
