Zuza
Hi all! I am on day 19 of my first ever Whole30. Been doing amazing and except for some digestive issues all is going well! BUT I ordered a takeout salad with shrimp, and somehow overlooked the walnuts are candied. There was some sugar on them :/ I ate 4. Sooo the dilemma - do I have to start all over again? I am already salivating at the thought of reintroduction, especially my rolled oats for breakfast. The thought of starting all.over.again. is killing me. But, I will if I have to. Sob. T2Andrew
Did you know the nuts were candied before or after you ate them?
Zuza
Immediately before :'(. It caught me off guard, I overlooked the candied part on the menu. I feel so guilty! And have been doing so well. No slip ups up till now.
Pat Haz
If you follow the book, yes, you have to start over. If you realize it is almost impossible to be perfect, relax and finish your 30 days. I am on the Whole 30 for medical reasons so it it very important for me to stay true to the course as possible. Even so, accidents happen. You are doing great. Continue on! Zuza
Thank you, Pat. You are right. I should be proud of myself because I never ate this clean and I do feel great! I will forgive myself for this little hiccup and keep on. Good luck on your journey!

scrapstitching
During my first W30, I ate something with a preservative that isn't compliant. I was freaked out. I did not start over. I know I should have, but I didn't. I still changed everything I know about eating and W30 was a huge part of changing my life forever. Losing weight is not the goal, but I did. My blood sugars normalized. Other changes occurred that were positive as heck. So yeah, I should have started over, but I didn't. P.S. I'm on my 4th W30ish as we speak. Zuza
So true with changing the way I look at food! Good for you for doing your 4th round. I am looking forward to reintroduction and seeing the effects next week.
