BLongo
Hello! I just started the Whole30 last Monday. With Thanksgiving approaching, I'm starting to get together some ideas for my meal. Is a little bowl of baked pumpkin puree mixed with pumpkin spices off limits as a pumpkin pie substitute? Or does anyone have any suggestions? Pumpkin pie is my favorite and I only eat it on Thanksgiving so I'm trying to figure out how I can lol But of course, I am dedicated to my 30 days so if I can't then so be it. Thanks! Moderators ShannonM816 Posted November 19, 2017 Moderators Share Posted November 19, 2017 For a once a year tradition like Thanksgiving, this would be okay, though you still can't add sugar or honey or other sweeteners. There's actually a recipe in this post that looks good: https://whole30.com/2010/11/steal-this-meal-thanksgiving-part-iii/ Just remember this is still not something you'd want to do every day, as it could keep sugar cravings going strong and wouldn't help you change any habits about regular dessert consumption you might have.
