Susan W
It depends what the ingredients are. I don't know the brand names because I don't take them, but some are okay and some aren't.
Kirsteen
I looked up the ingredients and it contains both sugar and milk protein which are both kinda no-nos. Like you, I took a probiotic when I started but managed to get one with no non-compliant ingredients. I don't take any now, but use homemade kimchi and kombucha which seem to work quite well. Lauren Benoit Vavoulidis
Thanks! I found one that has just the dietary supplements and microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate and silica. Googled them all and they seem to be ok... Kirsteen
Cellulose is often used as a filler in capsules and tablets. It's apparantly the most common organic compound on earth and often comes from wood fibre. It's a common additive to a lot of foods. I wouldn't recommend eating a whole bowl of it but i wouldn't worry about the amount in a probiotic supplement.
Renee Lee
Cellulose is fine! Otherwise all veggies and plants would be banned too.

I do remember from some science class now that cellulose has something to do with cell walls of plants..
