KKS
When I bake sweet potatoes, leave the skins on and eat them. If I'm roasting them or using them in a hash, do I necessarily need to peel them?

ElizabethG
Agreed, I almost never peel any kind of potato. I happen to like the crispy skins, plus so many of the nutrients can be found there. They only time I would suggest removing the skins for sweet potato is if you are putting them in the crockpot for some reason. I've found that they can get bitter cooking for that long. KKS
Thanks, I like the skins, too.
alance1099
For some reason I've never even considered leaving the skin on a sweet potato {but I do for regular all the time}. Now I have something to try!
Juice06870
I usually peel mine, or remove the skin after baking them whole. I'm too lazy to thoroughly wash the skins before cooking and eating. I feel like there is a ton of dirt on there that I can't get off.
