teachermama
I started the Whole 30 yesterday with a slight cough. Today I woke up with body aches, a worse cough, etc. I’ve so far been on plan but it’s hard. I just don’t have the energy. I was planning on doing a bunch of meal prep today, but I can barely stand up for more than a minute. I really want to to tough this out but I don’t know if I can. Luckily I have leftovers for today. Any advice or tips?
wellnesswarrior
I am feeling the same! I was fine until going into day 3. I started getting a headache the evening of day 2, and of course thought it was because that was what I am to expect on Day 2/3. I woke up in the middle of the night going into day 3 really congested and a pounding headache from 1 am throughout the whole day yesterday. I was able to prep a few meals yesterday and run a few errands but would feel a little lightheaded here and there while at the store. Managed to stay on track with the plan yesterday. Today all I want to do is sleep, and have some cravings. I also really want to tough it out and not have to start the whole30 over. Anyone else have any advice for us? Administrators ladyshanny Posted January 4, 2018 Administrators Share Posted January 4, 2018 Being legitimately sick, as it sounds like you both are, sucks! Sorry to hear that! Below are some articles that might help. https://whole30.com/2017/10/cold-flu/ https://whole30.com/2011/02/stm-feed-a-cold/ I also LOVE this soup recipe for the flavour, comfort, simplicity and healing properties! https://www.foodrenegade.com/tom-kha-gai-thai-coconut-soup/ If you are legit too sick to do any of this then I would suggest you consider putting your Whole30 aside until you're feeling better. wellnesswarrior
thank you so much! my doc recommended I take dayquil/nyquil so I can get some sleep and relief. I'm going to continue to stick with my Whole30 plan as well. Thankfully I am not having any stomach troubles, so I don't feel the need for saltines or rice.
